Choosing And Registering A Domain Name

First, decide on a domain name for your website or blog. This name should relate to, or reflect, the contents of your website. For example, since my focus is on the basics of web design, my domain name is laurasbasicstowebdesign.
Once registered, the domain name belongs to you, for as long as you maintain your yearly fees.

To get your own domain name, you must find a registrar and make sure the name is available. The best one I have found, and have used for years, is www.godaddy.com. They offer outstanding support and are easy to access.
